2002-01-18 - Late at night.
So, I saw the hockey game at SUNY Oswego tonight. Of course, RIT rolled over the Lakers 5-0. We also got rolled over by a big snowstorm, so it was slow driving all the way back home.As is corner crew tradition, we ask the arena announcer how much time is remaining when there is just a little more than a minute remaining in a period. (The announcer is supposed to announce when there is a minute remaining in the period.) The corner crew responds "THANK YOU!" to that announcement. The line of the night: Stickboy: "Excuse me! How much time is left in the game?"
Announcer: "One minute remaining in regulation."
Corner Crew: "THANK YOU!"
Announcer: "You're welcome." 2 ambulances had to be called to pick up RIT Corner Crew fans who passed out from laughing so hard. We don't even get that kind of treatement in our home arena. We need to remember to pass the hat and by that guy a beer.
